Bix: All Time Greatest Superhero: Wolverine vs Captain America

Most of you are wrong in your assessments of one or both of these characters. Capt A - world's finest H2H combatant. The pinnacle of human perfection in speed, strength, stamina, agility, dexterity and durability. Extensive and varied combat training. Expert in combat tactics and strategy. Indomitable will like no other. Shield is the hardest known substance in the entire Marvel Universe (yes, harder than pure adamantium). Wolverine - expert in numerous fighing styles, slightly superhuman levels of strength, speed, endurance (due to healing factor). Highly resistant to injury and muscular fatigue (Capt A is also highly resistant to muscular fatigue). Heightened senses. On the purely physical breakdown, Wolvie gets the edge. On the skill breakdown, Capt gets the edge. Capt's a better fighter, Wolvie's a more dangerous in-fighter (close quarters combat) due to claws and berserker rage. Both have the goods to really beat the hell out of the other. Wolvie gets an inaccurate rep for being undisciplined fighter, as he is very disciplined (pre-rage) and extremely skilled. Based on past fights, I'd have to give the edge to Cap, as he's just a more polished combatant. Wolvie has a history of needlessly taking shots, due to confidence in his heightened invunerabilities, so he may underestimate Cap. Cap's got a mile long list of foes that were bigger, faster and stronger than him, but were still beaten by him (I know Wolvie's shorter). He's got a whole history of neutralizing physical advantages, so they don't mean that much in this fight. Cap's shield can definitely hurt Wolvie, real bad. Wolvie's claws can obviously kill Cap...if they connect (a big if). I see this as an extremely tough win for Cap. Maybe a 53-47 type deal where Cap wins 53 out of 100 fights. Well lets see. Captain America has a stronger shield than wolverines claws,Better martial art skills and hes cool. BUT have you people forgot about Wolverines healing ability also he has pretty sick moves in fighting not to mention Captain America is only human....Cmon people Wolvies faster and stronger and this dude is fucking made of metal. Give me a break this would be a nice battle but in the long run Wolverine would eventually disarm Captain America from his shielf and rip his ass to shreds. 10/23/2008 16:24

Anyone that thinks Captain America stands a snowballs chance against Wolverine needs big steaming mug of common sense. Wolverine is physically superior to Cap in all areas, be it strength, speed, reflexes, etc. Wolverine's combat ability is superior to Cap's as well. Wolverine's combat training is far more extensive than Cap's and Logan's range of different styles is far greater. Wolverine also has far more experience than Cap does. Cap has no solid way of inflicting any substantial or lasting damage to Wolverine, and a KO should realistically be impossible for Cap to achieve when you look at the impact Wolverine can withstand and not be KOed. In fact Cp can't really hit Wolverine with anything other than his shield. If he tries to kick/punch/elbow/knee Wolverine h runs the risk of injuring himself. Wolverine on the other hand only needs to land a single blow from any area of his body and Cap is potentially dead. Taking a punch from Wolverine is like getting hit by a sledge hammer wielded by a roided out MLB home run hitter. Cap has the shield, but Wolverine has claws on both hands, sooner or later Cap loses his legs or his head, or Logan jut takes the shield from him. As far as tactics or strategy go, it's a moot point. Wolverine knows every battle tactic Steve does and then some. Wolverine simply desn't have to rely on strategy as much considering he can't be killed. Steve has no other choice considering he is relatively low/non-powered. Wolverines "level-headedness" is pointless to debate as well. What happened when Wolverine went berserk against OGUN? Arguably the greatest ninja/samurai of all time, and he was finished in like 3 moves.

Cap's combat skills are superior to Wolvies. How many times has Wolvie been shot,stabbed, blown up and would be dead if not for his healing factor? Wolvie has also been blindside ambushed and KO numerous amount of times. How many times has Cap been shot, stabbed, machinegunned blindside ambushed? It's almost impossible to sneak up on Cap given his outstanding H2HCombat skills!Also Iron Fist Kicked Wolvie around like a bitch while Cap owned Fist when they fought.Fist though"Caps' technique is only basic, but his SPEED and POWER are INCREDIBLE" 08/04/2008 20:16

I think Wolverine is better because he is skilled, tact, disciplined (he was a former soldier for the Canadian government before he was injected with adamantium) and he has an indestructible weapon and body nevermind the fact that certain villians can hurt him (Magneto). Overall he is alot more exciting to watch and guess what Logan haters? Hugh Jackman is so popular as Wolverine in the X-Men movies that he is making his own Wolverine movie, now that is smoking bad!
