Real quick… Superman is DC's trump card, just like Iron Man is Marvel's trump card. Tony Stark always creates a new upgrade for his suit (in Civil War he upgraded his suit with Spiderman's precog, his stupid bio-mechanical). Superman is the exact same way. Reflexes, Super-human strength, laser vision, flight, sub-invulnerability… oh wait, they both have that. Hmmmm!! i have read numerous comments on various sites and blog telling Iron Man would win the fight by building some Kryptonite Iron Suit or something and Tony's Genius level intelligence being an uphand in the combat. I strongly disagree with that. According to me Supers have brighter chances of winning the battle. I mean Iron man can fly with super sonic speeds but can he punch as fast and he can fly ?? Supes would land 10 punches all over him when Iron Man would land 1. Even if Tony makes a suit which shoots Kryptonite beams i think Supes have enough battle experience to successfully dodge them and get closer to him to engage into a hand to hand combat. And as far as the who is the greatest amongst super hero i guess Superman is far ahead of Iron Man. 12/03/2008 21:50

Yeah,but that's what makes Iron Man cool. Altough truly unrealistic....his powers do border the realm of possibity. When a hero is indestructible like Superman with the power to basically anything it takes the fun and suspense out of everything. As a little child, Superman was the first hero I knew and loved. As I got a little older I realized I couldn't relate to or identify with him and he quickly slid down my list of favorites. Being untouchable just isn't cool to me. There needs to be some sense of mortality to truly be gripped by a character. Otherwise there is no "Oh no!!! How's he going to get out of this?!?!?" Of course Superman is unbeatable....but that's all anyone throwing out scenarios to beat Superman are doing.They're taking a hero that they can relate to and doesn't stand a chance, then throw out a situation to make that hero triumphant against unbeatable odds....something that Superman rarely faces. 10/20/2008 18:24

CORRECTION Jason… It is Iron Man who isn't in Superman's league...

Nothing against Iron Man, he's cool and all… But he still need his armor suit to fly and to access his weapons. On the other hand, Superman are all put together in one, ready at all times 24/7. Even when he's Clark Kent, he still have all his powers ready for action… LOL!!! Where as Stark and Wayne needs to run into their caves to put on their armors… Too much preparation of delayed wasted time before something gets done.

That's why Superman is the COOLEST superhero.. He always saves the day and gets things done while Stark and Wayne are still sleeping or trying to put their golf ball in a silly hole.. LOL!!! 10/19/2008 15:18

Since this is a vote on who the cooler hero is. Superman isn't even Iron Man's league. Superman is a stiff as Clark Kent and he is a stiff as himself. As far as fight goes....it's always up to the writer, and if I was the writer I would make the conditions favorable for Stark. Because Superman is the lamest superhero ever created. hey morons this is "Superman vs. Iron Man" not Superman vs. Iron man and his ex-gf grandmother's broken wheel-chair which is fixed by a guy who spent a night in jail with a guy who's ex-wife knows a scalper who can get tickets to a kryptonite mine. Why do people feel they have to introduce all these extraneous conditions to the underdog?? you don't think that Superman can bring in extraneous circumstances too? how about while Iron man is spending 3 days making this damn kryptonite weapon Superman comes into the Stark mansion and snaps his neck?? or how about while Tony Stark is building this kryptonite weapon superman hears him buying the kryptonite with his super hearing and see's him building it with his x-ray vision and kills him with his heat vision form 10 miles away? or how about Superman finds out Iron man's plan to make a krytonite weapon travels into the Marvel universe and asks Professor X to use his powers to kill Tony Stark without even lifting a finger? morons!! don't you understand once you have to use all these extraneous conditions to derive different situations you have admitted defeat!
