hmm tough one flash is probably the most underestimated superhero in the DC universe ...... flash is the fastest there is .... and so is superman .. DC never clearly showed who is the fastest amongst them … i mean if superman manages to land just one punch to flash .. its lights out .. whereas i dont think flash would be able to do much with his super speed to supes .. both are awesome though .. loved the flash (wally west)in JLA Animated series .. 07/31/2008 04:20

	I agree with WAW. In many ways, Flash is very underestimated. There are various instances where the two have raced, and sometimes Flash wins, sometimes its a tie. So it is hard to determine. Overall, I think the Superman character is better. Also, many individuals have donned the Flash costume and been "FLASH". But there has only been 1 real Superman. 	Flash may be the fastest man on earth, but you must realize that Superman is an advance "ALIEN" and not of earth. And according to his biological alien scientist father "Jor-El" that the earth's sun will give Kal-El the ability to propel himself at an unlimited "INFINITE" speed. So there you go with the word "UNLIMITED and INFINITE" speed. Those words alone logically clarifies that Superman have the ability go way much faster than Flash. 	divadolphin7, you may not care but I do. Specially when many from these site argue that Flash is known to be "the fastest man on earth" and by that they claim that he's way faster than Supes. And that's why I makes it clear that Superman is an alien and not of earth. So Flash may indeed be the fastest man on earth but not faster than Superman who is an Alien. Besides that, Superman is SUPER to everything, and it would contradict to his name SUPERMAN if someone is faster than him. So cool it... 	The appeal of Flash is that he's more human than Superman. He isn't so caught up in his own fabulous image that practical reality escapes him. For example he has common sense to wear an actual mask and develop a street adaptable costume. The glasses bit on Clark Kent is a bit far fetched. I also keep wondering how Superman never looses that cape, which of course has his street clothes. These are little things, but basically my preference toward Flash over Superman is because Flash started out as a normal guy,but thanks to natural talent, technology and just growing up he developed into something more than he was. Superman has his humble roots, but he was essentially born with a titantium spoon in mouth like many people he never had to actually work to develop his powers he always had them. So, he never experienced physical pain. Yeah, Flash doesn't have the super strength, vision, hearing, ect., but he also seems to have a greater sense and ability to take what life or his foes throw at him by adapting and improvising like the rest of us. 	Better get your comic book superhero facts straight. Kal-El was never born with a titanium spoon "superpowers" if that's what you're meaning to insinuate. When Ka-El was born on Krypton he was just an ordinary person. Instead Kal-El acquired his superpowers only when he escaped from his doomed planet Krypton and shipped to earth. His superpowers comes directly from the existence of the earth's yellow sun. The same sun that gives life to your Flash and the rest of the human superheroes. So there you go...
