silverstealth I'm sorry I havent read Superboy-Prime, so I can't say anything about that. But I can read this web page and it says "Superman vs. Green Lantern" NOT SUPERBOY-PRIME!!!! So again I have to remind people about the extraneous stuff, this is not about Green Lantern against Superman and his neighbor's, cousin's, ex-brother-in-law who knows a guy in jail who has a cousin that could zap him into the Marvel Universe with a Delorean that can travel back in time to get Thanos when he had the Infinity Gauntlet. jeez people cant read!!! 	Who wins in fight? Who cares? At the end of the day....these are still two typical lame ass DC characters. Usually I would say bringing kryptonite into a "mano-y-mano" battle is moronic because "mano-y-mano" battles is about one-on-on battle with innate abilities and no extraneous stuff. But this is different Green Lantern can make anything appear out of thin air, making anything makes you pretty much omnipotent, I would liken this to Marvel's "Power Cosmic" or being an "Omega-level" character. So Green Lantern doesn't need to go get some kryptonite as some of you have suggested he can make it out of thin air! so obviously Green Lantern wins! but this is not about fighting. the title is "greatest" superhero of all time. Superman is the greatest of all time hands down, but Green Lantern would win in a fight 9 out of 10 times. 10/02/2008 01:08

Superman is the greates superhero of all time.Sure the mystery men of the early 1930`s preceeded Superman by a good few years but make no mistake about it, Superman is the hero.He`s the archetype for the modern superhero as we know it.(Before Marvel introduced characters with flaws,daily problems,angst and imperfections).Now does that mean that Superman`s the most intriguing superhero? No.Does that mean he`s the coolest superhero?Absolutely not.Is he a character with layer upon layer like Wolverine? Certainly not. This is a close one. Gl holds alot of power. Based on fact, much greater than Superman, but I'm sure intellect and tact would come into play also. In that case, Superman always finds a way.
