All superheroes, with the exception of the aliens like Superman, are human and thus have a soul. The Ghost Rider speaks to both God and Angels and with the Penance Stare, he himself passes judgement upon the guilty. No other except maybe Spawn wages war with demons and false gods, like Mephistopheles.

Last I recall Spawn was waging war against God and Heaven. What kind of hero is that?

Even though Mephistopheles is NOT really Satan, but is a Lovecraftianesque Alien Elder God (according to Wikipedia) who uses humanity's fear of Satan to gain influence over them, the power of hellfire has successfully been used against him.

Satan in the current series has yet to be announced as an incarnation of Mephistopheles. He said " I like this plane, I have never been here before." Then again both Satan and Mephistopheles are liars.

Human superheroes may face terrors in this life, but what about the integrity of their souls?
