I own & raise both, my goldens are sweet & great with kids. My beagles are their own bosses. Harder to train, they get on a track & forget they ever knew you. My 4 month beagles scented something they liked, gone 19 hours later they came home, only because they could barely move. My wife says hates them, but she was up all night worrying about them.
